Empowering Immigrant Women and Families

At Mehrovar, we empower immigrant women and families, support their integration into American society, and promote gender equality through comprehensive social, economic, and educational programs. Founded in 2023 and based in Brooklyn, New York, our community-based organization strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for newcomers, with a special focus on individuals from Tajikistan.

Our mission is to assist immigrants and facilitate their integration into American society by offering social and economic support, education, and other activities tailored to the needs of families. We firmly believe in the transformative power of education and the importance of empowering migrant women in vulnerable situations.

As an organization, we understand immigrants' unique challenges, especially for women and children. Our programs are designed to address these challenges and provide the necessary support for individuals to adapt, succeed, and thrive in their new environment. We offer various services, including social and economic support, educational programs, and empowerment initiatives.

Through our social and economic support services, we assist immigrants in finding housing, meeting basic needs, accessing social services and benefits, and finding employment. We also provide financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs to promote economic independence and stability.

Education is at the core of our work. We offer English language classes and language support to improve communication skills, educational workshops, and skill-building sessions to enhance knowledge and abilities, and academic support for children and youth to ensure their educational success. Additionally, we provide cultural orientation and integration programs to help newcomers adapt to their new surroundings and feel a sense of belonging.

Empowering migrant women is a priority for us. We offer leadership development programs, women's empowerment initiatives, and personal development workshops to promote gender equality, boost self-esteem, and foster personal growth.
